b2ap3_thumbnail_IMG_2301.JPGDear friends, welcome to My Own Italy to discover Italy with my personal touch !

Our travel today is to Lombardy , a region rich in lakes .

Here, in the province of Bergamo, in Val Cavallina, you can find a small body of water really very striking and characteristic: the Lake Endine.

The Lago Endine spread over a perimeter of about 14 km; its maximum length is about five kilometers while the width varies between one hundred and seven hundred meters. Its depth is very low since it varies between a maximum of 9.40 meters and an average of 5.10: why it is also called "the flat lake".

The perimeter of this lake is totally viable, as it is flanked on the east side of the road that connects the Castle to Monasterolo to Endine Gaiano: an excellent opportunity to enjoy a nice walk or jogging.

In winter, the lake is covered with an ice layer so that you can walk and, at some points, you can also use skate or bicycle, although at present it is forbidden by the municipal regulations for security reasons.
