Our travel today is to Alto Adige where you can enjoy the fall season in all its enchanting beauty.

In fact, known as "indian summer" or "foliage" in the Alto Adige / Südtirol they speak about '"Golden Autumn" or the season of the “Törggelen”.

b2ap3_thumbnail_alto_adige_panorama.jpgSouth Tyrol is a land rich in ancient and rich traditions: here fall becomes very special.

And in fact this is the season when all the cattle ranchers let return to the valley from the high mountain pastures all the cows, horses, sheep, and also their families: this is the moment to organize large parties in the valleys with the arrival of livestock.

b2ap3_thumbnail_autunno_alto_adige.jpgThis tradition is called "Cattle drive" and the most beautiful take place in Renon (horses) in the Aurina Valley, Val Senales (sheep) and the Alpe di Siusi.

Autumn is also the season when farmers make wine and grow chestnuts; it's time for "Törggele," that the custom of walking from farm to farm to taste exactly the must of wine ("Siaßer") the new wine ("Nuier") or the old wine ("Alter"), accompanied by the inevitable "Keschtn" (roasted chestnuts).

To give new impetus to this age-old tradition, we go back to the origins of "Törggele" with the "Törggele original": the objective is to keep the original custom, which otherwise is likely to be lost.

You can live the "Törggele original" only in the valleys with vineyards and chestnut trees, and also in the "Buschenschank" or the farms and tavern open for only six months a year, serving traditional country made its own products.

In '"Golden Autumn" there is the possibility of walking in a beautiful landscape, all colored when the days are still mild perhaps accompanied by the most famous mountain climbers.

b2ap3_thumbnail_autunno-a-velturno.mb.0002gl.jpgFall is also an opportunity to participate in numerous festivals, gastronomic fairs and special events, such as:
