Franciacorta & Berlucchi: the most famous Italian Sparkling Wine in the world

Hello my friends! Welcome in My Own Italy to discover Italy with my personal touch!! Today I am going to lead you through a unique sensory experience, and absolutely Italian, in Franciacorta: we are going to discover the wine cellar where the most popular italian sparkling wine is product: Berlucchi.

The territory of Franciacorta is mostly hilly and dotted with ancient woodland; it has been recently transformed by the planting of numerous vineyards that characterize its peculiarityHere comes the chance meeting between an ancient noble rank, Guido Berlucchi, and a young and enterprising winemaker, Franco Ziliani: a unique combination that will give rise to a new and innovative research in taste and wine production. The result of this wonderful combination will be the success of unique products: the first Pinot di Franciacorta, which later became Cuvée Imperiale. This was followed by Cellarius, and then Berlucchi '61 and at last Palazzo Lana and Franciacorta Millesimati.
